Arbor Day is April 27th!
| Join our Efforts To Replace Riverside Trees!We've lost lots of Riverside Trees to storm damage the last couple years. This Arbor Day, PTA is going to celebrate with Riverside Elementary by replacing some of those trees. We are planting 1 tree for each grade in the courtyard between the Art Wing and the Teachers Lounge. PTA selected 6 options and each grade conducted a student survey to vote for their favorite. Class Selections are listed below. Planting will take place in Mid April. If you enjoy gardening and landscaping or just want to help, email us! RiversidePTA@mail.com

Class Tree Selections:
| Tulip TreeVery tall at 70-90 ft, Fast Growth (2+ ft/yr).
Bright green leaves resemble tulip flowers. Carries greenish yellow blooms high. Aromatic stems. | Class:Kindergarten1st Grade |
| Eastern Redbud20-30 ft tall, Medium Growth (1-2 ft/yr).
Tons of color: Pink Flowers in April, then red/brown leaves turn green and then yellow in the fall. | Class:2nd Grade |
| Red DogwoodRed spring flowers, reddish-purple fall leaves. Scaly bark.
Berries attract songbirds. 25 ft tall, Medium Growth (1-2 ft/yr). | Class:3rd Grade4th Grade |
